Visiting the interior of the Topkapi Palace is a must when in Istanbul, as it was one of the most significant locations of the Ottoman Empire until the mid-nineteenth century. It served as the main administrative center and residence of the sultans. Today, it houses many great relics and treasures of the Empire. On this guided tour, you will explore the vast 1,000 square meter palace, including many attractions such as the ceremonial courtyard, royal stables, weapons collection, kitchen courtyard, audience hall, various collections, and the Harem, among others.

Itinerary

This tour is a shared experience with other travelers and begins at our designated meeting point, the Ahmet III Fountain, located in the square in front of the imperial gate of the Topkapi Palace. Our guide will be waiting for you there with a blue umbrella at 14:30. Once everyone has gathered, we will enter the complex, first passing through the security checkpoints.

The Topkapi Palace features four large courtyards and numerous sections, including the Mint, the Baghdad Kiosk, the Hall of Arms, the palace kitchens, the Imperial Council Hall, the Gate of Happiness, the Audience Hall, the Sultan's libraries, costume museums, rooms containing the sacred relics of Islam, rooms showcasing the jewel and treasure collections of gold and diamonds, the private sanctuary of the Sultan's family, the Harem, and many more.

There will also be time to take stunning panoramic photographs overlooking the Bosphorus. This tour concludes at 17:00.
